We've got 500+ episodes — so we curated a pathway that meets you where you are. This is your guide to The Way Out Podcast.

⭐ What Makes Us Different

Since 2015, Guided by One Belief:
Recovery Should Be Accessible to Everyone.

We don't do paywalls, private clubs, or exclusive members‑only communities. We don't push one pathway or one philosophy. We don't monetize belonging.

Instead, we've spent more than 500 episodes elevating all pathways of recovery — 12 Step, SMART, yoga‑based, trauma‑informed, spiritual, secular, and individualized approaches — and sharing powerful lived‑experience stories freely, openly, and without judgment.

"Our recovery stories are the lifeblood of the Recovery community. They connect us, heal us, and remind us we're not alone."

Our mission is simple: Bring sobriety power topics and real recovery stories to anyone who needs them, for free, forever.

Meet the Hosts
Charlie LeVoir

Charlie LeVoir

Creator · Host · Producer · Trained Recovery Coach · In Recovery Since 12/6/2014

I'm Charlie LeVoir, a person in long‑term recovery since 12/6/2014. Hearing others share their recovery journeys in the Twin Cities 12‑Step community gave me the hope and connection I needed to begin my own. That experience inspired me to create The Way Out Podcast in 2016, where I've spent hundreds of episodes Recovering Out Loud and elevating the many pathways people use to heal. Today, as a host and person in long term Recovery, my purpose is helping others build meaningful, sustainable recovery.

"Our recovery stories don't just matter — they are the very lifeblood of the recovery community."

Jason Rudeen

Jason Rudeen

Host · Trained Recovery Coach · In Recovery Since 7/23/2016

I'm Jason Rudeen, a person in long‑term recovery since 7/23/2016. After using, drinking, and dealing from age 13 to 36, I never imagined getting clean — let alone building a life in recovery. I support all pathways because I used every way imaginable, and today I draw from many sources to stay well. Sharing my story became a turning point: it heals me, inspires others, and gives people permission to speak their truth. Saying yes to joining The Way Out Podcast pushed me past fear and into purpose, and helping others recover is now at the center of my life.

"Everything you want is on the other side of fear."

I'm a person in long‑term recovery.

I haven't felt the need to use a drink or a drug since 7/23/2016. My DOC was basically anything — meth hit the hardest. Because I used in every way imaginable, I support all pathways to recovery and draw from many sources in my own.

I started using at 13 and didn't get clean until 36. Recovery showed me a new way to live, and sharing my story became a powerful part of that healing. It helps me, inspires others, and gives people permission to speak their truth. As a host of The Way Out Podcast, I Recover Out Loud so others know they can recover too.
